ULTRA Cloud trusted IPs not working (401/403 or timeout errors)

If you’ve added an IP address to your site’s Trusted IPs but you’re still having issues with 401 or 403 errors when trying to access your site, here are some things to check first:

Are you using Cloudflare?

If your domain is using Cloudflare, ensure that the Cloudflare toggle is enabled under Performance & caching in the site’s settings – without this toggle, ULTRA Cloud is unable to determine the visitor’s IP address and this means the allow list will not work.

Is your IP address correct?

Verify you have the correct IP address by visiting ipv4.icanhazip.com and ensue it’s in the Trusted IPs list.

Are you using the right allow list?

The Trusted IPs section when managing a site in ULTRA Cloud is to bypass website-level security. If you’re looking to connect to SFTP and you’re getting a timeout, head to your server’s firewall settings in stead via Servers, Settings and then Firewall tab to allow your IP address
