Transferring a domain away from Freethought, or requesting your EPP code

To transfer your domain away from Freethought simply involves ensuring your domain is unlocked and then supplying the domain’s EPP/authorisation code.

1. Login to your Freethought account
2. Navigate to Domains from the top menu
3. Select the domain you would like to transfer
4. Click on Registrar Lock on the left-hand Manage section
5. Toggle the Registrar Lock Status to Off
6. Select Get EPP Code from the left-hand Manage section
7. Supply the EPP code to your new registrar or provider

⚠️ If your domain has recently been transferred into Freethought, or has only recently been registered (within the last 60 to 90 days), it may not be possible to transfer your domain out.

Once the domain transfer has been initiated by your provider, it will take up to 5 working days to transfer over to them. Please also be aware that transferring the domain does not transfer any associated services (e.g. email, website or DNS), it simply moves the registration from one provider to another.
